The German National Award Authority supports the local Award work not only with tools like the Participants Logbook, the Online Administration System (“Electronic Record Book” included) and direct consultation through local visits, but also by the recognition of “best practice” by means of the Award Unites' Prize. Not the “extraordinary” is rewarded here, but the exemplary daily work of the Award Team: depiction of individual participants with their experience (e.g. for the own website), photography of activities (e.g. for the Award Presentation), or any other helpful local “products” (e.g. an expedition report in the form of a photo calendar).
Once again, the focus of the prize is on Award documentation and again, the first place will be awarded with 250 Euros, the second with 150 Euros and the third with 100 Euros. This time, the three specific topics are:
Participants’ Experience: Needed are descriptions of the general impact of the Award on the development of individual young people (e.g. testimonials) or of a especially valuable experience in one Award section (e.g. interview). The form of presentation is open.
Photos of individual participants while doing activities in one of the Award sections: Needed are really good pictures together with a descriptive caption. Pictures have to be send in high resolution and the Award Unit must have the necessary copyright.
Topic of choice: Needed are any other valuable examples of best practice, either linked with one of the Award sections (like an extraordinary service project) or covering the field of local Award media (like a video clip).
Deadline is 1 October 2011.
