The status of an Operating Authority is coupled with financial obligations to the German Award Association. There’s not just an annual fee for the organisation; also, for example, each Award Leader or Award Leaders Course participant needs a copy of the German Award Handbook*) and for each participant of the programme, Record Book, Award Badge and Award Certificate have to be bought. All these different regulations are now transparently collected in the Fee Schedule 2011, which was unanimously adopted by the 20th AGM held at the end of February in Osterburken.
The new version of the guidelines also includes two important changes. First, beginning in March 2011, there is a registration fee of 25 € for seminar participants in the Alte Bahnmeisterei who are not living in Baden-Württemberg and whose participation won’t be financially supported by the state’s Ministry of Education. Second, beginning in 2012, the annual fee for a single Award licence has been increased from 100 € to 125 €**) because of the significantly improved services (like free downloadable materials and free access to the Online Award Administration) and the associated costs.
*) Or its English equivalent called “Award Basics”
**) The basic amount for a multiple licence has been increased from 150 € to 200 €.
