Young people using IASS 2009 as their Residential Project should not forget to pack in their Record Book.

  

Mattresses on the floor / Camp beds

If you are an Award participant, you will probably stay overnight in our training centre “Alte Bahnmeisterei” (www.jugendprogramm.de/hilfe/alte-bahnmeisterei/AlteBahnmeistereiE) with mattresses on the floor or camp beds. Though we could provide you with one, maybe you prefer to bring your own sleeping bag with you.

 

Personal Expedition Kit

The Award Leaders Course and one of the Workshops will involve a tour about three to four hours in the – possibly cold and wet – late summer / early autumn countryside in Germany*).

Therefore your personal expedition kit should involve

  1. Cagoule/coat (waterproof and windproof)

  2. Camera (optional)

  3. Cap or hat

  4. Mug (non-breakable)

  5. Personal First Aid Kit (optional)

  6. Pocket knife (optional)

  7. Walking boots (optional)

  8. Walking trousers (NOT jeans)

  9. Water bottle

  10. Waterproof overtrousers (optional).

 

Personal Fitness & Outdoor Games Kit

Outdoor fitness activities (like football, running or swim­ming) and outdoor games (like icebreakers, problem solv­ers or team builders) are essential parts of IASS 2009. What exactly will be done depends on the skills of the participants, who will eventually lead them, the weather conditions – and time available. Be prepared!

So please don’t forget to add to your pack list

  1. Fleece

  2. Swimming things

  3. Towels

  4. Trainers.

 

Personal Seminar Kit

Items, which could help you during the different seminar sessions:

  1. Camcorder (optional)

  2. Digital camera (optional)

  3. Laptop (optional)

  4. Local and / or national Award / Country & People media including press articles, photographs and videos (to be presented in an “Award Exhibition” during the International Evening)

  5. Writing utensils

  6. USB stick (minimum 2 GB – if you want to take hundreds of photographs and other IASS 2009 documentation back home).
