Getting from the airport in Frankfurt am Main to Osterburken by train is rather easy because there is an ICE (express train) railway station inside the airport (Terminal 1, long distance trains platforms) and you have to change trains just once in Mannheim (from a very fast ICE train to a very slow S-Bahn).

Dear friends,
Getting from the airport in Frankfurt am Main to Osterburken by train is rather easy because there is an ICE (express train) railway station inside the airport (Terminal 1, long distance trains platforms) and you have to change trains just once in Mannheim (from a very fast ICE train to a very slow S-Bahn).
Some information concerning your rail travel (posted also on our main website):
A single person return-ticket from Frankfurt am Main Airport via Mannheim to Osterburken is about 80 Euros.
Trains heading for Osterburken leave about once every hour during the daytime.
Travel time to Osterburken via Mannheim is a little bit more than 2,5 hours.
You will find the counter easily on your way to the platforms (map attached).
After your arrival, it will take you all in all one hour to get your luggage, buy the tickets and walk to the platform. If you arrive at terminal 2, it will take you an additional 30 minutes to get to terminal 1 (by bus or by shuttle).
You take your luggage with you into the train.
There is just one railway station in Osterburken, where we will pick you up. Please give as a phone call about 15 minutes before you arrive.
Best wishes,
Klaus
